Lois LLC Welcomes Adam Lowenstein to New York Defense Practice

Today the Firm welcomes Adam Lowenstein who joins the New York Workers’ Compensation Defense Practice at Lois LLC. A seasoned litigator, Adam’s prior experience includes representing claimants before the Board, where he handled all aspects of workers’ compensation cases from start to finish. This includes hearings, trials, depositions, client intakes, appointments, appeals and settlement negotiations. A true litigator, Adam regularly appears in courts in Long Island, New York City and all boroughs. Adam will focus on representing insurance companies and self-insured employers before the New York Workers’ Compensation Board.

We currently handle all of the hearing points from Albany on south (“downstate.”). We are in every city court every day.

We assign attorneys to specific courts and not to clients or matters. This way, your attorney is an expert on his/her specific court and judge. We have tried dozens of cases to conclusion this year in each of the courts we go to. We are aggressive in pursuing appeals and our practice has an above-average record on winning appeals.

Where we go.

We regularly appear in New York City courts and downstate hearing points close to NYC. City hearing points:

  • Brooklyn
  • Manhattan
  • Queens
  • Staten Island
  • White Plains
  • Garden City
  • Hauppauge

Downstate Hearing Points

  • Newburgh (New Windsor)
  • New City
  • Poughkeepsie
  • All appeals (Albany)

We represent insurance carriers, self-insured employers, third party claim administrators, and employers before the New York State Workers' Compensation Board. We handle cases from cradle-to-grave. We want to be by your side, moving cases aggressively to closure from the start of litigation all the way through to settlement.

We only assign one attorney and one paralegal to each case. This means that your team members always have one contact to go to for any questions. We do not have 'hearing attorney' or a 'negotiation attorney' or 'appeal department' or anything else! All of our attorneys handle all of those roles – meaning cases are not 'passed around' as they move through the litigation process. Your risk professional or adjuster always knows who is assigned – because the attorney does not change.
