Alan has 37 years of experience in the litigation of workers’ compensation cases in New Jersey. Prior to joining LOIS, Alan had two positions as staff counsel to two major insurance companies: Fireman’s Fund and Home Insurance. In each of these positions, Alan was charged with creating an in-house workers’ compensation defense staff and managing attorneys and staff. With the closing of Home Insurance Company, Alan joined the firm of Morgan Melhuish Abrutyn where he assumed the role of the management of their ongoing workers’ compensation defense practice. After briefly leading the worker’s compensation practice at Herold Law, in 2011 Alan opened his own practice where he defended various clients in workers’ compensation matters, including a national hotel chain and several large public risk programs, before joining LOIS.
