Lois Law Firm held their very first charity dog show benefiting The Seeing Eye® on June 25th at Van Saun Park in Paramus, New Jersey. Partners, attorneys, paraprofessionals, and staff invited the local community to help raise money for the philanthropic organization whose focus is raising and training dogs for the visually impaired. With the Firm’s match, the total raised was over $8,400, with donations still coming in even after the event had ended!
A perfect-weather day created an even more exciting atmosphere for everyone who came and participated. Firm team members and locals brought their four-legged family members and entered them into fun categories like best trick, waggiest tail, best kisser, and best costume. The winner from each category then competed for the grand title of “Best in Show” and took home a coveted trophy plus a special puppy prize pack. Second and third place winners also took home honorary medals with memories and pictures to carry conversations for years to come!
Local businesses offered food, snacks, drinks, and treats with additional tents that allowed participants to take scene set photos, get caricatures drawn, and even make “puppucinos” with their dog family members. The event also had multiple photographers snapping fun pictures, and all entrants who donated received a “Lois Swag Bag” featuring some great surprises for pets and humans alike. Everyone who attended also received a Lois Dog Show t-shirt and got a chance to talk to The Seeing Eye® dog trainers while meeting their pups (who also joined in on the fun)!
