Lois Law Firm Raises Over $13,700 With a Comedy Show Benefiting Healthy Humor

Lois Law Firm transformed their collaboration room, aptly named “LoisLAB,” into a fully-fledged comedy club on Thursday, March 7th, 2024. The “LoisLAUGHS – Comedy for a Cause” event, designed to benefit the non-profit organization “Healthy Humor, Inc.,” featured four top local comedians performing sets on stage with participants roaring with laughter. Partners, attorneys, paraprofessionals, and staff were able to invite their friends and family to the event, and all ticket proceeds went directly to charity. Together with the event’s ticket sales and the Firm’s donation match, the total raised for Healthy Humor was over $13,700!

The sold-out, dimly lit room with spotlights that pointed to the on-stage brick backdrop provided a perfect comedy-club vibe for the featured comedians to boast their jokes. Matt Jenkins, Liz Glazer, and Jon Fisch worked off one another, with Moody McCarthy providing his dose of comedy as the emcee for the night. Before the show, guests were welcomed to an extensive buffet of hot and cold foods and their exclusive event t-shirts. During that time, Healthy Humor’s Red Nose Docs, a team of skilled clowns that bring joy and laughter to people and kids in hospitals, worked the crowd, providing tricks, playing music, and even balancing some of the furniture on their chins. Everyone was in awe of the captivating atmosphere the entire night presented.

“Laughter is curative and builds connection. We were able to bring a night of happiness to our community while supporting such an important cause,” explained Greg Lois, Managing Partner of Lois Law Firm. “Our LoisLOVE Initiative demonstrates how we take our commitment to being steadfast support beacons for our clients and channel it toward also assisting the hospitalized through non-profit organizational connections.”

Healthy Humor Inc is a non-profit organization whose professional performers create moments of joy, wonder, laughter and comfort for hospitalized children and all others who are most in need.
