The Diversity Committee, Co-chaired by Partners Tashia Rasul and Karen Vincent, led a Firm-wide drive to collect gently used or new clothing that was donated to GreenDrop: Military Order Purple Heart Service Foundation.
Partner and Committee Co-Chair Karen Vincent volunteered her office as the donation drop-off location. The drive lasted all through December and on January 19, 2022, the donations were collected by Green Drop.
GreenDrop is an organization chosen by the Military Order of the Purple Heart to help raise funds and donations to help those in need. Clothing donations are converted to dollars raised to help the nation’s veterans.
The Purple Heart is a Congressionally-chartered charity composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. Although membership is restricted to the combat wounded, Purple Heart supports ALL veterans and their families with a myriad of nationwide programs.
The mission of the Purple Heart Service Foundation is to holistically enhance the quality of life of all veterans and their families, providing them with direct service and fostering an environment of comradery and goodwill among combat wounded veterans.
